When did you pick your bike up?Hhhhmmm, I got my bike from these guys and they have assured me it would have the datatag, but didn't and the first service should be parts only, as per the manual.

Wow, I would go back and take the warranty handbook and show them page 11, paragraph 1, if they supplied the bike. Below is the wording in the same.ok then why i have payed 125 pounds for the first service? i did it at motorcycle store in london.......!!!! you are talking about the one at 600 miles dont u?

No, getting close, but if they don't buck up, I have a contact in robinsons who own them and they are already aware of the poor service(poor buying experience), trying to give them a chance to redeem or I'll have a riot! You had your first service with them yet?
Please can you update me with your service experience. No, getting close, but if they don't buck up, I have a contact in robinsons who own them and they are already aware of the poor service(poor buying experience), trying to give them a chance to redeem or I'll have a riot!
As it says in warranty book "The service will be carried out without charge for labour (by the supplying Dealer), for the original owner, unless otherwise agreed."Don't know how Yamaha can say that tricky, it's in their warranty book, it would appear the same with the datatag issue, the dealer does it if they want, Yamaha should send a clear message out on these types of points. Not well they might, but might not, depends, what a load of rubbish.
I'll keep you posted on the outcome of my service in the next few weeks.
I called three days before collection, as I needed to know what security it had to take the insurance out. This is when they advised of the built in mobiliser and Datatag. I was assured it would be done, but it definitely hasn't!. Service wise they said it would be in, when I ordered the bike, but again they have haven't wanted to see this through. Robinsons who own Millennium, actually sponsor a friend in thundersport, so I've used a contact and they are going to service the bike, for the cost of parts and put the datatag on for me too. I will never go back to Millennium, now.As it says in warranty book "The service will be carried out without charge for labour (by the supplying Dealer), for the original owner, unless otherwise agreed."
When I was buying my bike nothing was mentioned or agreed about this. It was only mentioned after I had paid and it was me who bought the subject up!!!
You got your bike 5 weeks b4 me, when did you ask about Datatag?
I mentioned it to them on 27/6/14 when I was collecting my bike and they knew nothing about it then.
Geffd, phoned Millenium on Friday just gone and spoke to a guy called Lee. I asked about when I could bring my bike back in for data tag etc and he told me it was already done. I told him it wasn't and he assured me it would have been done at the P.D.I. Once again I told him it wasn't and that I had no paperwork to say it was. He said leave it with me and I will get back to you. Ten mins later, gets phone call to say he`s sorry and that I`m right and also tells me that none of the Yam `s they have sold have been tagged when they should have been, not good!!Tricky, picked my race blue up from Millennium the other week, as I have just clocked up 500 miles I rang up to book the 600 mile service. Asked the price and they quoted £140....... I then saw your post and said you are joking . He eventually said if it says free labour in your service book we will honour it. (It does luckily) I Also asked about data tag and they said Yamaha don't do it only Suzuki, kawasaki so I said funny that on the Yamaha web site it states they do it free from 2012! He then said he could do it but I'd be waiting 2.5 hours that will do me just have a big breakie in the café. Can't get booked in till the 18th when I said I had over 500 miles on it he said you can go upto 750! No sure about that could be another millennium get out of jail!
My mate bought an FZ8 from marriots last year, he got a survey the other day from Yamaha about his dealer experience so we will get our own back on the head working ba#$@=ds!
