Plastic gas tank

If there is one thing I can't stand with the MT07 is its plastic gas tank. It is my first bike with a plastic tank and I find it unpractical at best.
I try to carry over my gears from one bike to the next, and of course, my magnet tank bag will not work.
So I purchased a new tank bag, the cortech 2.0 8L with straps. Yes, its cheaper than the magnets by $20. Its size is perfect for the MT, so I like it.

But mounting the straps are a real pain. Removing the bag for fill ups is a real pain, as anyone know how the magnets on a bag is sooooo easy for the on/off exercise.
Is it the future trend in motorcycle engineering? I hope not.

You can get a mount that allows you to clip certain tank bags on and off the tank but how good they are I don't know,

I dont do shopping on ebay - used sales online is not my favorite cup of tea.

Id much prefer the manufactors website and place an order that i can get a reciept from.

You can buy neodymium magnets and stick them on the underneath of the plastic in the corresponding spots. Works even better than a steel tank. I will be doing exactly that.
