fuel consumption figure problem

i have this probliem, fuel consumption figure (not actual consumption) is stuck to 5.1 lt/100km no matter how hard or soft I ride...also instant fuel consuption seems to have higher lag than normal & i dont think it shows the right value...anyone have any similar problem??

There is a definite lag, have you tried resetting it.

i did,it now shows a different value (5.3) but i still think it doesnt show the correct instantaneous fuel consumption. if i go from 2/5 throtle to minimum throtle at 4-4.5k rpm for example it shows 6 or something for a long time or until i change gear. i will check it again more carefully.

The instantaneous one does have a lag, a bigish one, so thats likely ok,
set it to instantaneous then going down a hill somewhere you can close the
throttle for a time, close the throttle so your on the over run the display
after a delay should show 99.9 the gauge is about 10% pessimistic so
if it shows say 60 mpg in UK the bike is likely doing 66 mpg.
5lt/100k is about 57 mpg so likely it's doing 62 mpg only real way of checking
is to fill it do some km's refill and work it out on a calculator see if they are
close.

Don't worry about fuel consumption, just flick it over to ambient temp and enjoy today's +27°C Athens weather. Here it's still above freezing point for another week or two so I'm not complaining
