Diagnostic mode

Does anybody know of the diagnostic mode for the MT07, A Mechanic at Yamaha was telling me about it but it didn't work on my bike? apparently you press the two buttons together on the clock for a short while switching on the ignition and after about 5 seconds it's goes into diagnostic mode. Unfortunately I was in the car at the time so I couldn't test it there and then on my bike.

Usually pressing and holding both buttons lets you change the time.

It works on some Yamahas even allowing you to change the fuel mixture on individual cylinders
but unfortunately not on the 07. you need a code reader/ diagnostics scanner this sort of thing
though I don't know if this one will work with the 07. they usually allow you to read/cancil codes
set mixtures and tickover speeds as well as reading data from the sensors, set the throttle position
sensor.
With Suzuki it is done with a switch or a paper clip will do but on those you can only set the throttle
position sensor and read codes,
