    Minor crash

Thanks! The insurance company decided that it's not worth repairing my bike, but instead they offered to buy me a brand new one. The exhaust bent and scratched the swing arm and as they do not do repairs here, but replace pieces with new ones, that would have costed too much. I got a really good...

    what offers better protection?

As this bike no longer belongs to me, I didn't care to unscrew and see what exactly got bent, the plastic or the screw. I wouldn't buy no-names, untested, bobbins from e-bay. The plastic might be so hard that it might properly bend your bike's frame. They need to be tested by the manufacturer...

    what offers better protection?

I've noticed the crash bobbins Yamaha installed on the motocage version. I like the fact that they have been designed to spin freely, which should minimize considerably the lateral forces transferred to the frame in slides. I will try to take pictures of the one I shaved. The frame's tube...

    what offers better protection?

Unfortunately I have put them to test :) They work :) Done an excellent job protecting the bike, regardless of the fact that Yamaha insurance decided to buy me a new bike instead of fixing the one I crashed.

    Minor crash

So I fell with my bike. Going about 30 km/h, the road was turning and full of gravel, the front wheel completely lost any grip. The road was slightly damped on that patch and completely covered in dirt and small rocks. Perhaps it was also my mistake, perhaps I used too much front brake. I have...

    Side Bags and Boxes

I have the same soft bags and my girlfriend also complains about the same thing. I am thinking of buying a large piece of those rubberized non slip mats that you put of a car's dashboard, cut it to shape and glue it on the bags upper strap, so that her ass no longer slips :-P

    The MT-07 Picture Game

Sorry guys, I've been offline for quite some time. Next challenge: picture of an MT07 riding through a tunnel.

Post a picture of your MT-07

    The MT-07 Picture Game

There's one with my city's landmark, a twisted tall building.

    Tailbag

I'm very happy with them, as I can carry stuff with me between the two towns I currently live in. I love the fact that you can take them off and put them on in an instant. I'm thinking of getting also a smaller one, like the QBAG, to put on the passenger seat, for a drink and/or snacks when I...

    what offers better protection?

Got myself a pair of crash bobbins like the ones in the picture. The reason was mostly to cover those ugly frame holes, but I find them very comfortable to hold my legs straight on them for stretching after riding for a while. I also like the looks on cruiser riders faces when I pass them by...

    Tailbag

Here are the soft side bags, on genuine mounts, but with the original branding, not processed by yamaha (I like the red logo better for my red bike)

Engine cuts off when the clutch lever pulled in

I had the problem bugging me in the beginning, but now I completely forgot about it. I have 2300 km on the bike, I ride it every day and the stall seems to happen at most once a week, and only if it happens that I don't give it enough gas when I start moving. As "xt660isgood2" says, I no longer...

New helmet for a naked bike...?

Roof boxer v8, if you are looking for a different look. Very good for slower rides, well ventilated and awesome visibility with the big visor.

    Top speed tested

    Also got 200 km/h effortlessly

    Tailbag

If any of you guys would like the original soft side bags but at a lower price, you could buy them from here: Safe saddlebags BLAZE ® for Yamaha MT-09, by SW-MOTECH. They seem to be identical, so probably Yamaha is buying them from this company and rebrands them.

Anyone installed a scorpio sr-i900 alarm before?

Received the box, nice looking, but requires advanced knowledge to install. Will report back after I find someone to help me ;-)
