most of us fall off occasionally, it can be a matter of luck whether it's serious. Over 40 years on a bike I've come off 4 times, only once involved a couple of days in hospital for concussion but nothing broken. Saying that, in a marriage both partners have the right of veto, if one of us...
nice one Kanonnier, like the standard bike, I'll have a go at the water.
btw, i was on the island of Carriacou near Grenada; a policeman was wearing an Arsenal shirt. I said "oh, you're a gooner", he replied "oh yes I'm a gooner" - so many fans all over the world
that's funny, mine is clean, done about 800km and never seen this, probably not riding hard enough! I might give the area a coat of wax before it starts to happen
bike wants to rev so I rev her. What isn't so easy is making smooth down-changes. I think it is the high compression - my XT was 8.5 and old so probably 8.0, this is much tighter
get red, white or grey, the other colours will date. Yam must make some styling changes next year, will probably drop racing blue and add orange or something
how many different new bikes are there? The big 4 makes about 80, plus Triumph,BMW,Ktm,Guzzi,Aprilia plus some others; there must be over 200 new models to choose from. our lovely little MT07 is a whizzy back-lane bike, she isn't a tourer, a trackday nor a sports bike. She is quiet enough not...
mine has only done it once and I'm still running in. I would guess it is fuelling because the 70mpg I'm getting (so are other riders) is so economical for a 700cc bike
the rubber strap is to hold the toolkit in the tray under the seat, there are moulded bits at each side of the tray for the loops to hook around. This is like we used to have for a battery holder.
the wire is the helmet lock, although I didn't get one. I wouldn't leave a £300 helmet attached...
at an indicated 90kph our village speed warning sign says I'm doing 86kph. our Peugeot car is slightly more optimistic. Trouble is, now I try to aim at getting the sign to give me exactly 90, my speedo is about 95 and so on.
hi - being, er, careful with my wallet (some might say tight) I bought a 10mm bolt, a threaded insert and a couple of nuts from a hardware store. I'll put a black sleeve over sometime. Cost? about 3 pounds.
it moves the mirror about 1.5 inches (4cm). oh, I hacksawed the head off the bolt of...
