Re slow starting: I read somewhere that the 07 has an automatic decompressor linked to the starter, making it easier to spin up and allowing a smaller battery and lighter starter motor. My guess is an engine management programme does not release the decompressor until it has spun the set number...

I'll be going to the Manchester one on the Saturday. Mostly to see all the mods and accessories, maybe try an 09, and the wheelie machine. I'm not very optimistic about gothic lolita showgirls tho....

Are you sure it is the chain? I dont hear it at all. However, there is a lot of road noise from the front tyre ( i have Battlax, not Michelins). Unusually loud, But as it disappears on some surfaces I know it is tyre.
