Having learned that salted roads + aluminium bike parts don't work together very well, I now cover the bike with this stuff before the gritters come out to play.
I got a 1l bottle of it plus aerosol for about £30. That is a lifetime supply. I see the same on Ebay here for a fiver more, but it's recommended. The crap sticks to the ACF50. At the end of winter the bike looks awful, but a run around with a pressure washer leaves it looking spic and span.
Anyone have any other tips for winterising the bike (other than leaving it in the garage)? All you Scandinavians must be pretty good at this.
