Sprocket Ratios

Does anyone have any experience with sprocket ratio modifications. There's a 16/43 ratio combo available on eBay. I don't even know the original ratio but would be interested in any comments. We have rediculously low speed limits in Oz and huge speeding fines but they haven't figured out a way to fine you for getting to the limit as quickly as possible yet ?

Go a tooth or 2 larger on the front sprocket.. Saves buying a set.
FWIW, You can get fined for excessive acceleration even though you don't exceed the speed limit. And, if you are in VIC, prolly lose ya bike for a month under 'Hoon Laws'. ;)

To make it accelerate faster you need a smaller front sprocket and or a bigger rear,
the bike is well over geared so it's unlikely you will loose any top speed, but it would
be better for the chain to go bigger on the rear, there is a online site were you can enter
your gearing and it will tell you what the effect may be but don't have a link will have a look.
If you change things to much you will need a new chain as you will run out of adjustment.

Check here.
