Yep its a bugger :( less than 2k on the clock and found a big screw right in the centre. Bike shop wanted £160 "Our fitters are motorbike specialists " they said. protyre (Local tyre shop ) did it for £125 "There fitters are tyre specialists" I said, Bike shop wouldn't price-match so round the corner I went. (Bt-023) Was informed due to the construction bridgestones cant be plugged but michellins can ? The question is would you trust a plug just to save £150 ? (Some do and have no issues)
I try to steer clear of grotty bits of road where all the crap gathers now (even if I have to sit behind that slow car for a while longer)

In the past I have used Holts tyreweld, I know some people will not like that however at the time that's all I had. The tyreweld lasted the whole life of the tyre, they suggest its a get you home mend but keep an eye on it and the pressures and was fine for me!

The softer the compound the more likely you are to get a puncture. I used to put my part worn race tyres on my road bike, but got sick of puntures so went back to road tyres. I once had something penetrate my rear (tyre!) at very high speed and destroy my rear hugger, only just managed to stop tyre instantly deflated (whatever it was left a big gash in a supercorsa) and bike wouldn't turn at all. So go for hard touring rubber if you want to reduce punctures, and avoid filtering over chevrons where all the debris accumulates.

I guess it depends on which wheel it is (front or rear), where abouts on the tyre the puncture is, how hard you ride and how much spare cash you have.

A plug should be fine but for preference I'd prefer to get a new tyre. Having said that I plugged the rear tyre on my Honda 650 Bros when it was punctured after less than 25 miles.

Had lots of punctures over the last 8 years on my gsxr 750 k7 always rear tyre used plugs all the time never had any trouble.and the speed you would be doing on the mt a plug wouldn't be a problem.
