The 39l Box takes my helmet and jacket. It will not take boots or a laptop bag as well if the helmet and jacket is already there. Best thing is to buy the metal ring/loop which can be fitted under the seat and sits outside. Buy a cheap helmet and attach to this with a chain. Then the boots etc will fit in the box
