Gear shifting

Hey guys
I have MT 07 and i usually shift up @3000 - @4000 rpm
Can you please share your shifting up rpms on normal ride?

That depends on what type of ride it is?? I mean sometime shift between 4-5k just cruising about. But then you get a red-light pull away when a nice girl is pretending to look the other way and then its like 9--10 k shift with a little change of underwear when home again....

10k is the red line, which means you're thrashing the pants off it every ride. Not my style!

Serious question: Does it damage the gear box to skip gears? I'll often go 1st to 3rd or 4th, or 2nd to 4th or 5th.

For instance in the city;

Instead of 1st gear to get up to speed, into half a second in 2nd, into half second in 3rd, into 4th gear - I will go

1st gear to get up to speed, into 4th.
