Thanks for the info Gaz -very helpful. My Yamaha dealer told me the cat wasn't necessary to make it street legal, so I just ordered the exhaust kit alone. I've heard others saying the cat is necessary for it to be street legal also though, so I'd better make sure before taking the dealers word...

Those with Akra exhaust upgrade... did you declare to your insurance company? If so, what info did they require (performance enhancement details?) and was the increase in premium much? I'm assuming it would be risky to just keep quiet and not mention anything to them.
