Painting Rims?

Hi guys,

My bike, when it arrives, is the white edition. But instead of just rimstripes - i would like to investigate the option of coloring the rims fx white in my case -
How to do it yourself? bad idea? - TELL me havent tried stuff like that before.

Having someone do it.. what does that normally cost - any ideas? - Fellow countrymen (Denmark) - be sure to let me know if you try it

There is a process I've seen on youtube where they dip the whole thing, but usually that's to make a pattern, not just a solid colour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIgBsqG5J9c

Also, wonder if plastidip would be a good idea, it's reversible if you don't like it - although with wheels I wonder how long it would last, and how much of a pain it would be to get it all off if youw anted to.

Have you mocked it up in photoshop? that's what I normally do when I have ideas like that.

ohh then i started the video - actually sprays on... hmm interesting

Yes, it's like a vinyl in a form of spray. You just put few layers and if you don't like it or want to try something else just pill it of. No tools needed.

i used a can of plastidip on each of my truck tires last year.
the color is still strong now but the layers are thinning at spots

Might be some screen trickery, but the back one looks like the edges are a bit of a mess.

I would go for red - as white wheels would be a real pig to keep clean from the muck of the chain.
