First of all, don't worry about something you cannot change. More accurate readings will not allow you to travel further on a tank, or fit more fuel in the tank. This is probably just the difference between tank capacity (14L) and the usable tank capacity (around 13L). The fuel warning will come...
My friend had a funny argument with the WoF guy (similar to your MOT) here in NZ about this. After a bit of debate he just took the seat off. The guy wasn't legally allowed to fail the test because there was no longer a seat fitted. Might be worth keeping that trick up your sleeve...
Here are my thoughts after reading briefly through this thread:
IF the bolt (sump plug) was fitted and torqued when the sump case was warm/hot, and you applied torque to the bolt, it could crack. This could be because the case is warm, and subject to thermal expansion. As the cooling process...
I simply removed the rear footpegs, and left the holes exposed. The rear brake reservoir is in it's original orientation, because it has a rubber washer between itself and the chassis. Be careful if you choose to leave the reservoir on an angle, because spilled brake fluid is likely to damage...
I've had mine up to 170kph (only to see if it could) and it's quite windy at that speed. You sit upright, so I guess that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. I wouldn't recommend an MT-07 if you want to cruise at 160 kph... or cruising around at 160 kph...
It was literally swap and go. I just removed the two screws, changed the part, then refitted the screws. I didn't even remove any fairings. I didn't take any measurements, but you can see that the whole arm needs to be removed. Alternatively, you could remove a small part of the arm at a time...
Here is a before, and after photo. This job took about 30 minutes to complete. I purchased this throttle stop from the dealer, which he had made by a local engineer. It's entirely possible to purchase an OEM throttle stop and simply cut the arm off, but I wanted this one as it looks so...
THROTTLE RESTRICTION ISSUE SOLVED!!!
OK everyone listen up. I just removed my throttle restrictor, and have had a large increase in horsepower. Today I asked the dealer about the viablity of modifying the restrictor plate (e.g. cutting of the arm which limits throttle range). The important...
