    Hand guards

Bought the rst battery heated gloves yesterday, will update their effectiveness after a cold morning. On the plus side they're heated top of hands down to the finger tips, just where you need it hot. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    Hand guards

This morning it was 3°c and my cheap gloves after 40 mins failed to keep the heat in as soon as it became foggy. So time to invest before it gets colder. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    Hand guards

Do you use battery or wired gloves? I'm tempted by the battery powered gloves as I'm not a huge fan of electrics or the idea of being attached by wires to the bike. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    Hand guards

Not sure I care about style too much when riding to work in the dark and coming home in the dark! But I was thinking more about shields as they seem less restrictive, and will hopefully keep the worst of the wind and rain off some heated gloves. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

    Hand guards

With my first winter on 2 wheels approaching I'm already discovering the 'pleasure' of cold hands! How much difference will hand guards make and does anyone have any links to any? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

Effectiveness of ABS. Found this interesting .gif comparison.

I'll stick with the abs, not sure the stabilisers would help with filtering ;) Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

I'll second that, it's my first bike as well and I love it. Great to ride sensibly but enough poke to give some very big smiles (a few brown pants moments to! ) Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

mt07abs owners: comment the quality of the abs system

Like others here I've set the back abs off but must likely a result of poor breaking technique! The first time for a spilt second I thought my foot had hit the road as it's a weird feeling. I like having abs but hope to never really need it. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk

Cheers all, great advice some new some reaffirmed. After reading these comments and with another 200 miles done I'm getting smoother with my riding. But someone could have warned me to avoid accidental wheelies at lights, brown pants moment! ? Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk

Cheers guys, I've just checked out the bike safe courses. They're cheap and seem to offer what I need right now. And I'll take the other advice and stay within my limits so I can have years of fun. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk

They sorted the chain at the service Yaminator, but pre service it was really loose,

Chain marked swingarm at 390 miles!

Just back after my bikes first service at 680 miles, the chain was really slack but hadn't caused any damage..luckily. But being a bike rookie i'm still pretty clueless about maintenance. Hopefully i've got a few thousand miles now to figure out how to adjust the chain.
