I lowered my mt07 with a lowering ring. Made it myself, took out the lower spring plate and made a ring with spring plate in aluminium that fits over the spring attachement. It lowered about 35mm. There are no side effects, just when riding with a passenger over a speedbump to fast the...
I also have the Arrow in shorty style and did a test today, this topic made me doubt but now I'm sure.
I reinstalled the Original exhaust, take a ride to a nice carfree road and put the gas open, made a starting and ending point in my head (sign and tree)
at the starting point I started at...
If it's the front part of the panel it's normal you have to pull pretty hard, it's with a "clicking" system, a ball fits in a rubber mounting (don't know what's the correct name).
If it's the back part of the panel it's possible you forgot to pop out the black plastic pins above the passenger...
Hey guys,
I bought the Original Yamaha frame sliders a few months ago, they arrived this week but now I prever the other ones that fit in the frame.
So if someone is interested to buy the Original yamaha frame sliders for me, send me a pm.
I had it the first 300 miles 2 times, placed a DNA air filter then, now I have1000 miles and didn't had it anymore. So I think it has an influence.
Everyone thinks he gets not enough fuel but I think the opposite, he gets to much, because more air means more burning.
I've installed the Arrow exhaust today and it's really difficult to make a choice, with or without DB-killer.
With, the sound is ok but not "wow"
without the sound is superbe when you're not on the bike, on the bike it's a bit to much I think.
What are the options now? putting back or adjust...
That's great information! Thank you for that. Was looking for an airbox but will cancel it from the list. :-)
Even without dna filter and /or exhaust the bike runs very idle, is there a way to change it?
Yes indeed, forgot to tell but it's true there is a difference of sound.
Only thing I'm now conserned about is, if I change my exhaust next week by an Arrow he will not run nicely without power commander. What would you think?
I've place the DNA air filter, there is a difference in performance and my feeling is that he rides a bit smoother.
You don't have to remove the tank, you can just lift it up a bit. Installation is plenty of work but not so hard to do.
Yeah I know but are there remaps available for Belgium? haven't found one yet.
And it's my first bike so what does a powercommander do and can I install it myself? What's the price and which model for MT-07?
I've emailed the head bureau in Belgium of Yamaha and they said that they know the problem and they are investigating it, when there is a solution my dealer has to contact me. Pretty sure that will not happen.
