Apply some pressure upwards on the shift lever while accelerating and when releasing the gas the next gear pops in. Medium to high rpm works fine for me.

I just came home from my second proper ride on my MT-07 :-)
Today I spent 3 hours and 200 km in the saddle and I'm liking the bike more for every km!
