I wont be adding anything to mine not even a radiator guard. But find it strange that Yamaha are selling a extra comfy seat, for about £180 are they saying the original seat aint comfy.
Im not running around just below 5000 revs all day in one gear. The country roads in North Yorks have plenty of twists & corners & not many long straits, that allow plenty of gear changes that keep the motor working but not stressed. Really enjoying it now.
Bike was delivered on Thursday from Colin Appleyard Keighley all controls explained, Datataged. First ride 50 miles can only compare to Triumph as I have been riding this for last ten years. Triumph has long gears Yam short first 3 need to change quickly to avoid jerks. very smooth on the go...
Looking forward to to getting mine having to wait until July, no Yamaha dealers in York so have ordered one from Colin Appleyard Keighley. Always wanted a modern bike & this one sounds just right, then will have best of both worlds 1966 Triumph Thunderbird & 2014 Yamaha just need some sunny weather.
