Mt-07 seat so slippery any options?

You could try a grip mat, they sell them in most hardware places, cheapest one for me came from tesco along the bath plus and sewing kits. I use it on the back seat under goods under a cargo net. It might not work but it will only cost a couple of quid to find out. Of corse you could just go...

    Rear view Mirror

I haven't had a problem with the ability of the mirrors, though adjusting them is difficult. the fact that they can move forward or back but that the arc caused cocks up every other adjustment is my main issue. I actually think the shape is OK, when you're in a bend the angle nicely switches to...

Minor drop, help with damage assessment!

I went with a mate to drop his bike off for a service, he got off and walked inside wile I waited on my bike. His tyre was so square I had time to turn the bike off, put the stand down and run up to it just a sit hit the deck. Not putting the stand down is surprising easy to do. That said I...

Why an MT-07... 3 reasons please..!

If you can afford it (purchase ,depreciation, insurance and servicing) then why not? The Triumph is universally loved, and if you want it to love, get the R. TBH I doubt as a new rider you need anything the R gives over the standard, (or the MT for that matter) but would it bug you if you didn't...

    Cleaning matt bike ?

I've been using 'wonder wipes' initially for insect crust, but on metal and paint too and they are indeed quite wondrous, but I have shiny paint and they do leave some residue, I'd imagine on the matt grey they'd be a one-stop solution.

    Speed Shifting

Before I got new leavers I was much smoother clutch-less than with the clutch. Up that is. I have tried down-shifting and never got more than a couple, the 'slot' appears as you decelerate but usually breaking means you are going too slow after one or two shifts. Also now I have a clutch...

FZ07 vs FZ6R at highway speeds

I've never ridden a Fazer, but I ride 90miles per day on the MT07. Vibrations aren't a problem, they are low frequency and not in the least annoying. Your concerns will be wind, and (on closed roads and test tracks) sometimes 80mph is a strain, sometimes 100mph is a breeze - ambient wind makes a...

new problem, anyone else suffering with this?

I noticed my engine light on for the first time today. I had stopped the engine with the kill switch which I don't normally do. The switch hadn't returned to the normal position and pushing it back cancelled the engine light. I've tried to clean around and under the switch might try a bit of wd40.

    Leaver recommendations?

Yeah I seem to see those on everything these days, they look fine, so if they work I'll get some of those.

Think Bike, Think Biker - free sticker

Some utter twunt just tried to kill me on a roundabout (MT can trail break into hard turns it turns out) it's a shame I didn't have a sticker then, I could have used it stick his eyelids open. No I don't have video, I put the small card in the camera because of idiocy and it had run out.

Is the MT your only bike?

My only working bike. I have a broken SV650. For me it's the 'normal' mode of transport for work or anything else. I spent about 20 mins working out how I was going to collect a large pizza I'd ordered before remembering I owned a car the other day. I would definatley have a sports bike for...

    Is the FZ-07 buzzy?

Not Buzzy. The 'cross plane' crank or whatever it is, basically the crank offset makes the engine really feel a lot like a real V-twin. So there are certainly vibes, but no buzz. I tested the ER6n And though the latest one really insulates you from the buzz well, it's still there. The MT doesn't...

    Leaver recommendations?

It's more about moving the bite point; using the whole travel of the leaver means I have the farthest extension of my fingers very close to the fully engaged position on the leaver. So I have less fine control over the release. If my thumb is curved a bit farther under the handle then I can run...

    Leaver recommendations?

I find the clutch a little far out to be comfortable, it's usable just not quite in the best place. The break leaver is fine, but obviously I want them to match. Do the existing leavers both weigh the same? I guess you wouldn't notice a slight imbalance if you replaced a heavier and a lighter...
