I got a tomtom rider version 2 for £50 complete with RAM mount and bluetooth headset.
On my old bike I used a cheap phone holder and a waterproof android phone.
The bike will likely be perfectly fine, They have rev limiters for that :)
I know the feeling though, I went to pass someone and failed on my upshift, horrible noises, I was like crap! my gears :< but these things are built stronger than a little failed shift can break.
Well it depends how much your time to fill out the old form and send back your tax disk was worth. I like it, it just removes work, you can buy tax online, I pay my tax now by direct debit so it just comes out each month and will continue to until I sell my bike.
You get a automatic refund for the tax. When I sold a Car not long ago, the next week I got a cheque for the remaining tax. You only get if from the start of the next month, S0 if you sell a car on the 1st, you lose that months tax.

ANPR is not everything, If your vehicle is not taxed and not declared SORN you will get an automatic fine of £80.

I had mine on the windscreen till I dropped the bike and smashed the screen. I normally find the helmet is a better place with the anti-vibration your body provided.
Though I guess something on the handlebars would be good with the lack of vibration there on...
With my last bike after getting a puncture. I bought a second hand set of wheels and tyres. Then when it came to swap, I just took the wheels off, put them in my car and got them sorted as loose wheels. If I got a puncture again I could put a spare wheel on and change the now spare wheels when...
