Electrical work on the bike

Hi all,

I'm soon planning to do some electrical work on my bike to fit one of these:

FUZEBLOCKS.COM

During the installation, I'm going to need to disconnect the battery and I just wanted to know if this is likely to cause any issue with the immobiliser or dealer fitted alarm (Meta 357T) ?

Cheers,

Foxracer

Certainly not the immobiliser, it's just a chip in the key that is read by a transponder behind the ignition barrel. I've had the whole lot in pieces, off of the bike and it all works fine when you put it back together. No recoding or anything needed.

Can't see why an alarm would be affected. It might possibly go off if it has a battery backup (I'm thinking how house alarms work here though). Can't have been beyond the designers imagination that a battery disconnect would happen though.
