Hi John, welcome to the site, b
This is like the sort of reply I hate. I haven't tried the powerbronze screen (so its not any help as to whether they are any good) but I have got a puig (365mm I think) and it is definately an improvement...
I usually use semi-synthetic but last oil change I used synthetic over the next few rides my gear changes got clunkier and clunkier so much so it felt like I was destroying the gearbox. I changed back to semi synthetic and it is back to normal when I drained the synthetic oil it looked quite...
I am 5ft 5 1/2 fair bit heavier than you. I don't have an issue with the seat height at all, partly because of the light weight and also the narrow seat . Not tried the 2018 model so I don't know if the seat is different. When stopping and putting one foot down it is easy to be flat footed if I...
I bought a 14 plate with 1200 miles 12 months old was £4,250 its on 10,000 miles now . only problem I have had was a sensor would of been around £200 fitted in a dealer but I bought a used one for £35
I would go for the lowest mileage you can afford, it will be hard to sell if you buy a high...
Hi Jamie
I don't have any trouble at traffic lights or paddling backwards I am not quite flat footed but it is not a problem I think I can get get one foot flat if I just slid one leg down but the bike
is so light I don't really think about it. Lowering the bike if done right will...
Hi
I'm 5ft 5 my inseam is 29in at most I manage fine partly due to the narrow seat and light weight but I definitely would'nt want it any higher. you can also get it lowered by 25mm
If you'r new to biking best to have it done by someone who knows what they are doing as you have to...
Have recently been on a tour of the Picos/Pyrenees and through Andorra riding down and back through France. I was concerned that it would be a pain riding down through France as we did a lot of motorway but I was amazed at how good the MT was all through the trip even fully loaded with topbox...
Just got back from a little 4 day run on the MT up to Donnington for bsb then a day in the peak district nice roads up there with less potholes than Devon, bike went great with panniers and top box still felt really light and agile. On the motorway it's fine cruising at an indicated 80 -85 but I...
first bike
Hi Steve,
Welcome. I think the MT makes a good first bike as it is easy to ride but with enough performance so that you wont get bored too quickly anyway have fun

Hi and welcome to the forum,
My opinion is that your definitely not too old to enjoy the MT as a first bike, it is very easy to ride very light to move around and agile to ride...
I've come full circle, started on a Zundapp bella 150 in 1964 then went to a 250 Honda super dream, 650 BSA super rocket easy and various bigger bikes out of those 3 I would say the scooter handled as well if not better I changed my cbf 1000 for the MT and love it its the most fun I've had in...
Went for a ride to day (bit cold still) and took a pillion for the first time thought it would not be very good 2up but was amazed at how good it felt, much better than my cbf 1000 or vfr both of them felt awlful unless the pillion leant forward against my back. Looking forward to a few days...
