At first it still engages the engine, but by doing so separates the engine from clutch.

The bike uses a wet clutch. For the clutch to actually separate the engine from the transmission the engine must be running. The initial jolt of movement comes from the starting of the bike, when the clutch is still engaged.

I haven't really had any trouble with the chain. I checked the slack last Saturday and it was within the guidelines. I don't mind the orange bits because those orange bits are mine. Haha.

Nice rim tape color. I like it. To answer the indicator question... It honestly depends on where you live in the States, but you have to have orange indicator lenses or orange indicator bulbs. Orange is the important part, but some places they care which part is orange. It's kind of stupid...
