Ohlins and Andreani cartrige set installed

Thanks, this is in line with my thoughts for this update. in stock form I was actually glad I never had to emergency brake with the MT, both due to the suspension and brakes, I do understand this is hugely individual, and me being a heavier rider probably added to the problem. I would imagine it...

Ohlins and Andreani cartrige set installed

ok, I found the back brake ABS kicking almost instantly when breaking "hard" using both brakes and suspected it had to do with the nose dive shifting the weight forward. Also the front brake felt a bit numb at the start as the bike pretty much just dived. I was hoping the reduced dive would make...

Ohlins and Andreani cartrige set installed

Nice. I was looking at this kit for months, but opted to change bike instead. How is the brake dive, greatly reduced? and is the rear ABS less intrusive? does the front brake feel different?

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

Yes the Z1000SX, is an excellent bike, and probably more of a tourer than the BMW. The fairing does provide better wind protection, and the seating position is a bit more upright, and the paniers means you can bring more stuff than the BMW. I guess it all depends on what kind of riding you do...

    AAAAAAnd she's gone.....

Actually, you should consider it, we have some of the most fantastic roads and scenery on the planet. I live on the south west coast, I drove up the west coast with a car club last year and it was absolutely fantastic. Some of the Dutch guys made this video of it...

    AAAAAAnd she's gone.....

Just bought a Red -14 S1000R with all factory options, 11.000km. Had to move out of my comfort budget, but realized it meant I did not have to buy a new bike for a very long time Donut. I dont know, I guess I kind of had it with Yamahas "budget bikes". not quite sure of the MT-09's styling...

    AAAAAAnd she's gone.....

Its out of my price range, about the same as a new BMW S1000r with all options, and I'm pretty sure the BMW is a better bike. A new MT-10 is listed at 193.000nok (20.800 euro), the base BMW at 173.000nok (18.650 euro), and 202.000nok (21.750euro) with the two options packages, and if I was to...

    AAAAAAnd she's gone.....

Well everyone. The MT is gone, sold, and the new owner has taken it home. Now there is an empty space in my garage, and I'm not sure when that will be filled by something else. Not even sure what bike I will get as a replacement. In the past weeks I have ridden: -BMW S1000RR, S1000R...

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

I did that yesterday. :) What can I say, other than I want one. I'll try to sum it up without being too biased. It's a bigger bike, once you get on it the seat height is probably about the same as the MT, however it is a bit wider, though my feet weren't that far off the Mt. I can get about...

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

Well, I guess that Ohlins is a huge improvement, but for me the spendings on this bike is reaching the point where I'm getting uncomfortable, and I am struggling to justify such a huge upgrade on this bike with all the other things I have done. That said, it the past few days I have test ridden...

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

OK, so yesterday a bunch of us went on a 300km trip. I was the only MT-07. This gave me an even better idea of the MT-07 abilities as a bike on longer trips. It was no problem doing 300km in a day on this bike, I mean you know you've been on a bike for hours, but no lasting discomfort. Today...

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

HAHA..... Yes you are right. I know if I get a CB1000r I will want the S1000R in a year or so..... so I might have to take the plunge and go straight to the BMW, after all it will then make my garage a complete BMW lineup :) If I can find a used red one sub 13.000 I might go for it. problem is...

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

You are right about that. My problem was that I bought the MT before I had the A license. don't think that I'm that young though, I could have taken my license 20 years ago, but for different reasons I waited. I bought the MT after having sat on a dozen different bikes and me being a bit short...

    Drove a BMW S1000RR yesterday

yes there is a huge price gap, but how much more expensive would the MT-07 have been with an adjustable fork, and a slightly better rear shock? Of course the BMW is better in every sense and that is to be expected. For fun and commuting I think the MT wins. and with a better setup I would...
