    How I got rid of (most) shifting roughness

    Since the very first moment I got this bike it pissed me the rough and clunky handling of its gearbox, I recently came up with a solution for that. I disassembled the clutch lever and, using a grinding machine, took about 1 mm of the area marked with the red line you can see in the picture below...

    Thanks again, folks. I have been riding motorbikes over 25 years and I was (wrongly) guessing, the newer the bike, everything smoother, and I was a bit afraid of breaking something on the guts of my new bike. Thanks for your valuable comments.

    Hi there I find my brand new MT07 shift way too clunky, specially 1st gear. Judge for yourself Clunky_gear_video My former bike was a 1989 Suzuki GS500, a rusty iron comparing to the MT, but shift changes were smoother.
